Ad-hoc Tumor Boards , Design Science Research , mHealth
Abstract:
Tumor boards are an essential component in individualized, multi-disciplinary patient care. However, the current tumor board process has severe drawbacks that are addressed in this work by designing an ad-hoc tumor board process that is adapted to the clinical context and integrated into existing workflows and daily routines of all involved medical and administrative employees. Furthermore, an information system that represents the new ad-hoc tumor board process and minimizes additional effort caused by the new process is designed, implemented and evaluated.
