Abstract: The paper gives an overview on various kinds of coordination within the supply chain. In doing so, it relies on a taxonomy of distributed decision making describing|the parties of a supply chain in a descending degree of connectedness. We are identifying those|distributed decision making problems that appear to be most appropriate to capture the main features of a supply chain.
