Abstract:
|
News recommender systems are integral to the modern digital information ecosystem, helping users navigate the vast volume of daily content. The recent advent of Generative AI, particularly Large Language Models, has profoundly reshaped the news landscape by enabling automated content generation, multi-modal analysis, and conversational interfaces. Although these advancements offer significant opportunities, they also raise concerns regarding model drift, factual inconsistencies, and the potential for AI-generated misinformation to fuel polarization and erode public trust. Moreover, the evolving regulatory environment imposes new requirements for transparency, accountability, and fairness of algorithmic curation. The 13th International Workshop on News Recommendation and Analytics (INRA) serves as a dedicated venue for researchers and practitioners from various disciplines to exchange ideas and discuss technical developments, as well as the legal, ethical, and societal implications of news personalization and analytics.
