Abstract: When firms need to respond to supply disruptions, managers typically face response uncertainty. We are investigating which implications a decision-maker’s tendency to gather information before taking action (ready-aim-fire) or to act first (ready-fire-aim) has for the performance of recovery processes of firms. To this end, we conduct agent-based simulation experiments.
