IIn this paper we present a scalable architecture for parallel CORBA-based systems. It extends CORBA's basic synchronous communication model and enables enhanced flexibility in programming applications where a client makes request to a multitude of servers and expects one single result as a response. Individual requests may be distributed depending on system load and may involve several layers of distribution. The architecture we discuss was tested with a CORBA-based implementation.
