Abstract:	Das Management von Technologierisiken stellt eines der zentralen Elemente einer IT-Governance dar. Die Bedeutung der Informationstechnologie ist insbesondere für Kreditinstitute in den letzten Jahren beständig gestiegen, womit auch der Einfluss von Technologierisiken auf deren Geschäftserfolg kontinuierlich zunimmt. Gleichzeitig sind jedoch die operationellen Risiken aus dem Einsatz von Informationstechnologie seit der Einführung von Basel II auch verstärkt aufsichtsrechtlich relevant. Die Entwicklung geeigneter Ansätze bewegt sich daher im Spannungsfeld bankinterner und aufsichtsrechtlicher Sichtweise. Besonders im Hinblick auf die Quantifizierung der Technologierisiken steckt die Entwicklung geeigneter Methoden – nicht zuletzt aufgrund des unscharfen Verständnisses dieser Risikokategorie – jedoch noch in der Anfangsphase. Diese Arbeit schlägt daher eine Ontologie-zentrierte Simulation zur Quantifizierung operationeller Technologierisiken vor, die sowohl dem bankinternen als auch dem aufsichtsrechtlichen Verständnis gerecht wird.
Translation of the title:	Quantification of operational technology risks within financial institutions - An ontology-centric approach between the banks and the regulators perspective (English)
Translation of the abstract:	The management of technology risks is a fundamental element of IT Governance. Especially for banks, the importance of information technology has risen throughout the past years, leading to an increased impact of the related risks on the financial success. At the same time operational technology risks have come under the focus of regulation through the initiation of the Basel II accord. The development of adequate approaches therefore has to integrate the requirements of the banks with the regulators perspective. Particularly concerning the quantification, the development of sustainable methods is still in its initial phase, to some degree caused by the ambiguous understanding of this risk category. To quantify operational technology risks, this thesis proposes an ontology-centric simulation which at the same time fulfils the banks and the regulators requirements. (English)
