Abstract:
The relationship between established firms and startups increases during the last decade but the research about the phenomenon is limited so far. Therefore, the thesis investigates the collaboration between the unequal partners from three distinct perspectives. The first research question addresses the overall aims and challenges of the partnership in order to shed light on the characteristics of the relationship. The second research question focuses on the selection criteria of new ventures as suppliers by conducting a discrete choice experiment and the third research question develops a framework to increase the capabilities of startups in the context of supplier development literature.
