Abstract: Data-driven competencies for instructional designers, e-Trainers, or teachers are not yet comprehensively addressed by existing professional development programs. The purpose of this qualitative study was to validate, map and transfer an educational data literacy competence framework to the European Qualifications Framework and to develop exemplary learning outcomes of the educational data literacy competence framework. An interview study with N = 34 participants was conducted. Findings indicate that the literature-based mapping of the educational data literacy competence framework to EQF was confirmed through the interviewees validation for the individual dimensions and statements. The project team has implemented an online course for instructional designers, e-Trainers, and teachers which consists of eight modules including practical work with current educational data analytics tools.
